Form branding can be controlled using style sheets applied at the Customer Portal or Staff Portal admin. These allow for global changes to be made to the look and feel of your sites and the forms therein, in order to match the public web site as required.

  • Information on how to apply local stylesheets for Customer and Staff Portals
  • Mobile Offline Branding
  • Form Styling by Category It is possible to style forms differently when they are separated by a form category.  This can be useful when you have separate websites with different styling for different agencies, departments, et al.
  • Inline styles have been removed, as they present a potential security issue. In Release 412 we applied a security fix involving HTML sanitisation for {#….} tokens which led to this change. This security change has now been applied to the Form Submission message where it is also possible to use bespoke HTML along with {#tokens}
  • Field appearances can be changed by applying Outer/Label/Inner classes in the advanced tab for specific fields. See examples in attached form.
  • The version of Font Awesome govService is running for Customer Portal is 4.6.3. (Version 5 used on Customer Service Hub)
The following screenshot depicts some examples of styling that can be applied using the class options within the relevant field's advanced tab.

Note: When making any changes to the look and feel of your sites, attention should be paid to how any changes applied may affect accessibility requirements in respect of W3C and ADA guidelines.

Our CSS is comprised of at least 6 CSS files loaded into the page. On top of that, there is extra CSS that can be loaded in-page (see inline styling above). Most of the files are not editable, as they are part of our core code.

The only file that customers would be able to edit/request changes for is the fs-filestore-eu based file. This file is specific to your sites and can be edited directly by CSA's with the appropriate permissions. You can easily retrieve this file by examining the source and copying the url, or by getting access to the file location (request this from the Support team) to allow for retrieval, editing, and uploading.
