Governments are currently working round the clock to send important communications and resources regarding COVID-19, and Granicus is working with our customers and partners to get helpful, relevant content into the hands of citizens.

We’ve created a new Signup tool for government websites that offer subscribers a localized and hyper-relevant set of government-created COVID-19 Topics – sourced directly from agencies and municipalities in their state, and federally.

If your agency is using govDelivery to send public-facing communications regarding COVID-19, it is easy to get your communications added to these local networks, so that your bulletin topic(s) will appear in widgets on participating agency websites, broadening the reach of your important communications.

If you have a topic related to COVID-19 that you would like to make available in this widget:
  1. Log in to your govDelivery account.
  2. View your list of account topics by clicking the Topics button on the left menu bar.
  3. Ensure the topic(s) in question have the Listed visibility setting.

  1. Click on the topic name, which brings you to the General Settings page for that topic.
  2. Under Signup Interests, tag your topic with the interest covid-19 (begin typing, and the tag will appear in the drop-down menu below).
Note: Account Administrators and Group Administrators have the ability to edit interest tags for topics.

  1. Scroll down and click Save when finished.
  2. Repeat this process for each topic you would like included in the network.
That's it! It may take up to 24 hours for your topic(s) to begin appearing in local signup widgets.
