Generally the release is timed to commence at 21:00 UK/Ireland Release and 10:00 US release (UK times) and usually there is no loss in service as part of this Scheduled Engineering work. If we expect a transient loss in Service to occur this will be be within the opening 1 hour window of the release, and we would advise in the release notes.
govService Platform
Improvements
- To improve accessibility, the outdated 'frameborder' and 'scrolling' HTML attributes have been removed from iframes found within the govService platform.
- We have updated error messages to be more intuitive to users.
- The contrast between text and background colour of platform notifications has been increased to meet WCAG AA standards (see screenshots below).

Bug Fixes
- We have updated the Stripe payment connector checkout UI from the legacy version to the current version. This comes with a back (cancel) button and resolves the issue that causes users to end up at a white screen after closing the pop-up window.
- The 'Next' and 'Submit' buttons on a form are now inactive whilst file uploads are in progress. This prevents uploaded files becoming corrupted by a user changing section whilst the upload is not complete.
- We have fixed a bug that was preventing MyAccounts data from being displayed for certain users.
- After uploading a file to the upload field within a form, a hyperlink appears allowing the file to be downloaded. Previously, this hyperlink was marked up as a button element within our HTML, which is confusing to users of assistive technologies. We have corrected this and the link is now marked up as an HTML <a> element (see screenshot below).
