This article contains release notes for the January 6, 2020 release of govDelivery.
Improvements
- In an effort to prevent malicious sign-ups and ensure best sending practices, govDelivery will no longer allow subscribers to sign up for alerts using an "email to SMS" email address (an email address that sends emails to a subscriber's cell phone as an MMS message). Users attempting to subscribe with an email to SMS address will be advised that the email address is not allowed, and to subscribe with an alternative email.
- Removed an errant warning to not use the Overlay snippet code provided in the Signup Builder.
- Updated administrators with custom roles to ensure that all users with appropriate levels of permissions have access to the new Signup Builder.
Bug Fixes
- The name field for the Signup editor will now expand further to display longer signup names within the editor.
- When editing a signup in the Signup builder it was possible to delete the "Email+SMS" component from the sign-up, preventing the ability to save changes. This component can no longer be removed from the sign-up.
- In some browsers, the checkboxes and corresponding text in the signup form were not well aligned
- Corrected an issue where changes made to the theme/styling of an Advanced Bulletin Template would alter the appearance of the sent bulletin previews when viewed in govDelivery. Previewing sent bulletins will now retain the styling of the bulletin at the time it was sent.
- Removed the "center image" button from the Image + Text blocks in the Advanced Bulletin Editor that would incorrectly appear when text was wrapped, and could cause formatting issues in the bulletin if selected.
- Corrected an issue in the Advanced Bulletin Editor where an image caption would appear aligned to the left of the image that followed when placing two image blocks vertically within a bulletin.
