This article contains release notes for the June 11, 2020 release of govDelivery.
Improvements and Enhancements
- Reduced and refined the number of "Built up Areas" available for the UK, to make searching for a location in the UK easier (such as when viewing a COVID-19 govNews Feed).
- Updated the order that Segments are displayed in the drop-down menu for audience selection (when drafting a bulletin). Segments will now appear in alphabetical order as opposed to last updated order.
Bug Fixes
- Corrected an issue where the Privacy Policy link on the "success" page for the custom Signup Builder would attempt to load within the signup, rather than in a new tab. The Privacy Policy link will now open in a new tab, as expected.
- Resolved an issue that would sometimes result in the CSS styling sheet for shared bulletin pages to attempt to load over HTTP instead of HTTPS. This would result in mixed-content errors, and alter the display of the shared bulletin page. This work ensures that all assets, including CSS style sheets, should always load over HTTPS.
- Resolved an accessibility issue when using "styling" images in govDelivery (images used for backgrounds, or other styling that did not contribute to the information in a bulletin). Previously, styling images did not include an alt tag, causing some screen readers to say the word "Image" or "Blank" when encountering a styling image in a bulletin. Styling images will now include a "null" alt tag to indicate to a screen reader should not announce the image.
- Addressed an issue causing heading text for bulletins built with the Advanced Bulletin Editor to appear overlapped when viewing the shared bulletin page.
- Corrected an issue where the BULLETIN_IDENTIFIER macro was not rendering correctly (or not at all), specifically when included in the subject line of a bulletin and then viewed as a shared bulletin page.
