This article contain release notes for the January 23, 2020 release of govDelivery.
New Features and Enhancements
In this section, you'll find updates to existing features as well as brand-new functionality.
Signup Builder
- Updated the available fonts for the Signup Builder to include the default font options available for bulletin creation. Admins will now be able to choose from these default fonts as well as the available web font options when editing the theme for a signup.
API Documentation
- We have made various improvements and minor corrections to API documentation to improve the readability/accuracy of its documentation.
- Created new documentation for two new API endpoints to unschedule/delete bulletins. With these endpoints, a Web Services user can perform an API call to unschedule a previously scheduled bulletin or delete a bulletin draft from their account.
- Updated contact information for Customer Support on our API documentation to no longer reference legacy govDelivery support information.
- Added new API documentation for the "List Category Topics" endpoint. This endpoint allows a Web Services user to perform a GET request to list all topics that belong to a category within their account.
Bug Fixes
- Corrected an issue where the Gothic font was not displaying correctly for Mac users in the bulletin or Signup Builder editors.
- Corrected an error for the "Read a Single Question" API documentation where the wrong endpoint was listed.
- Corrected an issue where clicking "search" when assigning a question to a topic resulted in the page being saved instead of performing the requested search.
- Corrected an issue where "Back to top" links were not working as expected on Shared Bulletin Pages (web page versions of bulletins).
- Including "curly bracket" characters in the subject line of an email, i.e. {,}, could cause issues with sending and receiving of email bulletins. To prevent these issues and ensure consistency among subscribers receiving bulletins, including curly brackets in the subject line of a bulletin will now result in an error and prompt to remove the characters.
This error will be encountered when attempting to send/schedule a draft manually created. Bulletins created via API with a curly bracket in the subject line will also result in an error message. Page watch bulletins generated from RSS feed content that contains a curly bracket in the subject line will be automatically changed to a square bracket to ensure that automated sending of page watch bulletins is not disrupted.
