This article explains users, groups, and permission levels in MediaManager. You can follow either the video or written instructions below.
The Users & Groups sub tab in MediaManager Admin allows you to Create and Edit Groups and Users with access to MediaManager through a number of permission levels. The permission levels can be assigned to different features and modules of the different Granicus product suites.
Users are placed into groups to make it easier to stay organized and manage permissions. Your MediaManager account has several default groups, however you can add additional groups as necessary.
By default, you will have the following groups in a new MediaManger account:
- Administrators: This is the only group that cannot be modified. Users in this group will have read/write access to encoders, events, views, templates, archives, and reports in MediaManager.
- Clerks: This groups has read and write access to encoders and archives. They have read only access for events and no access to views, templates, or reports.
- Webmaster: This groups has read and write access for encoders, events, views, templates. They have read only for archives and do not have access reports.
- Council: This groups does not have access to encoders, events, views, templates, archives, or reports.
