Overview

I'd like to begin using iLegislate for the iPad; what are the requirements to get started?

Resolution

  • You must have a Granicus login and password.

  • You must have the Open Platform Suite, and at least one of the following: Government Transparency, Meeting Efficiency, or Legislative Management Suite. Contact your Granicus Account Manager for more details.

  • Users of iPad Voting must have the Voting System in addition to the above suite requirements.

  • Users of iLegislate must have at least read-only access to events in MediaManager, and users of iPad Voting must have at least read-only access to Cameras. To create a Group with read-only access to events and cameras, complete the following steps:

Note: You must have a MediaManager Administrator account to complete these steps. If you don’t, ask your administrator to complete them for you.

  1. Open Internet Explorer.

  2. Navigate to your MediaManager site; for example: jurisdiction.granicus.com

  3. Log in with your username and password.

  4. Click the Admin tab.

  5. Click the Users & Groups subtab.

  6. Click New Group.

  7. Enter a Group Name.

  8. Enter a Description.

  9. Select the Read Only option under Event.

  10. (Note: Only complete this step for iPad Voting users) Select the Read Only option under Cameras.

  11. Select the No Access option for all other features, or configure these features as needed for access to other parts of the system.

  12. Click OK.
