Legistar and Insite
- We are introducing a new feature for admins to enable the new Password Policy and optional expiration date for their users. For existing customers, it is not required to enable this, but recommended. If enabling this feature, it enforces a minimum password complexity of:
- Minimum of 12 characters
- At least one uppercase letter
- At least one lowercase letter
- At least one number
- At least one special character
After Password Policy is enabled for your database, current users with non compliant passwords will be requested to change their password from the Reset Password link on the log in page the next time they log in. The Reset Password link populates a dialog for the user to enter their new password, confirm their new password, and enter a reset code they receive in an email. When a user changes their password, they are visually guided through the selection of a new password to assure it is compliant.
Individual users are able to reset their password if they forgot it without the help of an administrator or Granicus Support. They can also use the Local Settings screen to change their password if they know their current password.
The system logs information about users that reset their passwords to the security log.The system also reminds users that their password is about to expire. The password maximum lifetime is customizable and defaults to 180 days. The timing of when these reminders occur is also customizable and defaults to 14 days before the expiration date. Reminders show in the application under the Exit button on the Home page, as well as in emails. For more information about the Password Policy, see the User Guide and Administrator Guide.
LiveManager
- We have implemented a new feature to allow you to run meetings in LiveManager Web without any agenda items. LiveManager Web has video-only functionality when there are no agenda items on the associated Event.
- We have removed the vertical scrollbar on the embedded player in LiveManager Web.
MediaManager and Granicus Video
- We have updated Granicus Platform to Media Manager in the main navigation drop down and in the Edit user page > Default App drop down.
- All instances of ClearCaster have been renamed to Live Cast Encoder.
We are changing the name ClearCaster to Live Cast Encoder in all of our documentation (help articles, guides, marketing materials, etc.). The reason for the change is that the ClearCaster is only being produced and sold to Granicus. They are no longer selling it commercially, so we want to remove that brand name for our collateral.
Pages/instances renamed include:
Encoders > Simulcast
Dashboard
Encoder type drop down
Encoder Parking lot
Peak
- We have resolved a bug when viewing item details on meetings that were older than 6 months or 12+ months in the future. Resolving this bug fixes a display issue with the meeting date and restores navigation to the meeting agenda.
