Solution

This article contains release notes for the January 24 release of Legistar and Insite.

New feature

We added the ability to include all attachments in a packet even if the attachment(s) is not selected to show in reports. This feature is helpful when a packet has lots of confidential attachments and the client wants to be able to easily create two versions; one with attachments for internal use and another without attachments for the public.

How to use this feature:

  • When running a file or agenda packet with the 'Include Attachments' checkbox checked, the packet will include all attachments, even those without 'Print with Reports' checked.
  • When running a packet normally (without checking 'Include Attachments') it will only include the attachments that have 'Print with Reports' checked (this is the legacy way of running a packet).

Improvements

If scanned documents contain colons, we are stripping them out to avoid errors.
We have fixed an issue where moving attachments with the new double arrows would occasionally not put attachments in the correct order after a certain sequence of moves.
  • We no longer allow a user to create a new text file version if there is a paused or running ATS sequence. The sequence must be completed or canceled first in order to not end up with several running sequences.
  • Added Calibri as a font option for 'Text Editor - Default font' and 'Default font for RTF action notes' settings.

Bug fixes

The following bugs have been fixed:

  • Some clients were unable to add scanned documents as attachments to legislative files.
  • Agendas were loading as a blank page. To fix this, we updated two settings to use 'https' instead of 'http'.
