The File Repository allows you to upload and host files in govDelivery's secure data center. You can then attach hosted files to your bulletins or use the Attachment URL to share a link to the file publicly on your website, social media accounts, etc.
Adding New Files to the File Repository
Files in the File Repository are always associated with a govDelivery topic. To add a new topic file to the File Repository:
- On the Account Area toolbar, click Topics.
- Click the Topic you want to associate the file with.
- Click Files in the right-hand Area Option toolbar.
- Select Upload File.
- Browse for the file to upload.
- Select an Effective Date.
- If desired, enter a Description for the file.
- Click Save.
Creating a Bulletin from a File
govDelivery makes it quick and easy to create a bulletin that includes a file in your File Repository. To do so:
- On the Account Area toolbar, click Topics.
- Click the topic name and choose Files from the Area Option toolbar.
- Click the file that you want to include in a bulletin.
- At the bottom on the screen, click Create Bulletin.
- Draft your bulletin. In the Files section, your file name displays. You can decide if you want to attach the file to your bulletin or link the file.
Deleting a File from the File Repository
To delete a file from the File Repository:
- On the Account Area toolbar, click Topics.
- Click the topic name and choose Files from the Area Option toolbar.
- Check the box next to the file you want to delete.
- Click Delete File(s).
- Click OK to confirm.
Replacing a File in the File Repository
To replace a file in the File Repository:
- On the Account Area toolbar, click Topics.
- Click the topic name and choose Files from the Area Option toolbar.
- Select the file that you want to replace.
- Browse for the new file. If you do not want the link to change, the file name for the new file must remain the same. If the new file has a different name, the file link will change.
- Click Replace.
